Offset Inks
Offset printing ink is a type of printing ink used for commercial and industrial printing. The ink is put onto the printing plate via a thin layer of water, which carries the pigment from the plate to the paper. It is a type of liquid ink that is composed of pigment particles in a vehicle such as oil. It also contains additives such as wetting agents, dispersants and preservatives. The ink is then transferred from the printing plate onto the paper or other substrate using an offset press.
